Fmoc-Tyr(tBu)-OH (CAS 71989-38-3), also called Nα-Fmoc-O-tert-butyl-L-tyrosine, is the standard doubly protected tyrosine for Fmoc-SPPS, which is a type of Fmoc-tyrosine tBu ether. The tBu ether keeps tyrosine's phenolic OH safe from alkylation and oxidation during SPPS. TFA deprotection brings back the free phenol.
