Product Details

Fmoc-OIC-OH (CAS 130309-37-4), also known as Nα-Fmoc-(4R)-4-hydroxy-L-proline analog or Fmoc-L-octahydroindole-2-carboxylic acid (Oic), is a Fmoc-protected bicyclic proline analogue of the octahydroindole-2-carboxylic acid class. Oic is a pyrrolidine-fused cyclohexane amino acid that looks like proline but is much more rigid and hydrophobic than regular proline. The bicyclic structure of Oic keeps the cis-psi angle that is best for GnRH antagonist receptor binding in place. Fmoc-Oic-OH is a secondary amine like proline. The D-Tic isomer is the related compound Fmoc-D-(TIC)-OH (CAS 130309-33-0).

ApiSyn sells Fmoc-OIC-OH (CAS 130309-37-4) as a pharmaceutical-grade specialty constrained amino acid building block for making Degarelix and GnRH antagonist peptides.
