Fmoc-Lys(palmitoyl-Glu-OtBu)-OH 1491158-62-3 is a Fmoc-protected lysine derivative with a palmitoyl-glutamic acid side chain. It belongs to the fatty acid-acylated Fmoc lysine side chain building block class. a GLP-1 receptor agonist that is taken once a day. This building block is added to the GLP-1(7-37) analogue backbone at Lys26 during Fmoc SPPS. The C16 palmitic acid residue is the first-generation GLP-1 fatty acid acylation strategy. It came before the C18 diacid technology that semaglutide uses. Impurities consist of incomplete deprotection (tBu-retained Glu), C14/C18 fatty acid homologues resulting from palmitic acid purity, Fmoc-Lys(palmitoyl) racemization at Cα, and free (unacylated) Fmoc-Lys-OH.
