Buserelin Acetate (CAS 68630-75-1), is a synthetic GnRH (LHRH) agonist nonapeptide that belongs to the serine-O-tert-butyl modified LHRH analogue chemical class. It has the sequence pGlu-His-Trp-Ser-Tyr-D-Ser(tBu)6-Leu-Arg-Pro-NHEt, and the D-Ser(OtBu)6 and Pro9-NHEt changes make it about 170 times more likely to bind to receptors than native GnRH. Buserelin is approved for the treatment of prostate cancer (through chemical castration), endometriosis, precocious puberty, and IVF protocols. It comes in subcutaneous injections, intranasal sprays, and sustained-release depot formulations.
ApiSyn sells Buserelin Acetate and other peptide sequence impurity standards that can be used to develop RP-HPLC methods & check the quality of GnRH peptides.
