Amino Acids Boc-D-2-Nal-OH 76985-10-9 Boc-D-2-Nal-OH (CAS 76985-10-9), also known as N-tert-butyloxycarbonyl-D-2-naphthylalanine or (R)-Boc-3-(naphthalen-2-yl)alanine, is an N-Boc-protected D-unnatural amino acid of the D-beta-naphthylalanine Boc-protected class. TFA or HF can take away the Boc group under normal Boc-SPPS conditions. D-2-Nal (as opposed to D-Phe or D-Trp at position 6 of GnRH) has a higher affinity for GnRH receptors and lasts longer because the naphthyl group has a larger aromatic surface area.
ApiSyn sells Boc-D-2-Nal-OH (CAS 76985-10-9), a pharmaceutical-grade specialty D-amino acid building block that can be used for Boc-SPPS of GnRH analogues, peptide method validation, and as a chiral purity reference standard.
